Dan Mihai Balan (born 6 February 1979 in Chisinau, Moldavian SSR) is a Moldovan singer, songwriter, and producer. He was born to Mihai Balan and Ludmila Balan, a TV presenterDan Balan has performed Eurodance or commercially-Pop music. He is best known for his part in the eurodance music trio O-Zone, a group he led to fame across Europe with the hit single "Dragostea din Tei. Dan Balan is a Moldavian singer, songwriter and producer. The biggest success so far was with the pop band O-Zone. He was the band leader, producing all the tracks. Dan formed O-Zone in 1999 and released three albums through 2004.
